Crispy Calamari (Squid) Strips

Purchase cleaned Calamari from one of the Blue Island Fish Markets

Get all the ingredients ready: 

1. Cut the Calamari into thin strips 

2. Flour the Calamari 

3. Fry in hot oil 

4. Serve 

Method:

Wash and drain the squid.

Cut the squid vertically down the middle and then cut into long, thin strips.

Mix the flour, cornflour, turmeric and pepper in a container. Add the Calamari strips and flour them. Use a colander to remove any excess flour. Fry them in hot oil until they get a golden colour.

Move to a plate covered with kitchen paper to remove any excess oil.

Sprinkle with sea salt and serve.
